Tim was admitted to the North Carolina State Bar in 2000 after graduating from Duke University School of Law. Tim is a Board Certified Specialist in Estate Planning and Probate Law.

In addition to receiving his law degree from Duke, Tim received his bachelor’s degree in philosophy from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, his master’s degree in philosophy from the University of Georgia, and his MBA from North Carolina State University.

Tim is the managing partner of the firm. Although his decision to attend law school altered his initial career path towards becoming a professor, he enjoys having the opportunity to teach the younger attorneys in the firm. Tim has also taught several CLEs for other attorneys and has been a co-author of the North Carolina Administration Manual published by the North Carolina Bar Association for several years. Tim currently serves as Chair of the Estate Planning & Fiduciary Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association and has been active with the Section council in various roles for over a decade. 

Tim lives outside of Wendell with his wife, Lori, who is also an attorney. They have two miniature Australian Shepherds, Boomer and Poppy.
